We want to be sure that everyone is extra careful with regard to illness this winter. We have had a couple of students who had their flu vaccinations and still got the flu. If your child begins showing flu-like symptoms, the recommendation is to take them to the pediatrician right away for a check. This is a severe flu and there are medications that can help if it’s caught early.
Of course, in an effort to keep the general population healthy, we ask that you please keep your child home if he/she has had a fever or vomited within 24 hours.
CALENDAR AT-A-GLANCE –
January 26 – Holy Rosary Preschool and Big School Open House – 12:00 – 1:30. The Open House will begin after 10:30 mass. We encourage you to attend this mass and have your child wear his/her Holy Rosary t-shirt.
January 26 – February 2 – Catholic Schools Week – This week will be filled with special activities throughout HRS. You will receive a schedule of events later this week.
We will be taking treats to the parish staff and to Mr. Barker and Mrs. Weythman during Catholic Schools week. I will place a sign up sheet in the foyer in case you would like to contribute.
February 13 – Valentine Party for P3
February 14 – Valentine Parties for P2 and Pre-K
February 17 & 18 – President’s Day holiday. NO SCHOOL
