Dear Families,
Thank you for your continued support as the children adapt to school. I am just loving spending my mornings with them – what a darling group!
You will find a Handwriting Without Tears letter formation page in your child’s filer. Please use this as a reference when working on letter formation at home. I do encourage you to work with your child to learn to write his/her name. Feel free to catch me after class if you’d like some guidance with this.
Preschool T-Shirt Sales – We are fortunate to be working with NorWest Graphics (a Holy Rosary family) to offer Holy Rosary School t-shirts for sale. You will find sample shirts and order forms in our foyer. The shirts are only $7 each and are available in a range of sizes, from toddler through adult. My hope is that children will have shirts to wear on field trips and special days, (although purchasing is totally optional). If you order, please either turn in cash or checks made out to NorWest Graphics by Friday, 10/23.
CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES –
Literacy Time – Our songs, poems, and stories will focus on opposites (big/little, long/short, up/down) and of course, Halloween!
Conflict Management – Asking for What You Need or Want
Faith Formation –The Story of Noah
Children will learn about obedience to God and how God keeps a promise.
ABC Music & Me – Laugh & Learn: Unit 2 – Home Sweet Home
Math – Our focus on opposites will be included in our math lessons this week. We will work to sort items into two groups while continuing to count and identify colors and shapes.
