October 13, 2015

I hope that you enjoyed the beautiful, yet soggy weekend. I want you to know how much we are enjoying your dear, wonderful children! They are doing a great job of settling in to our classroom routines. They are charming, sweet, and eager to learn. What a fun year we have ahead of us!

I also wanted to let you know that Teacher Sara is now with us for just one hour each day. At this point, she is coming for the last hour to assist with snack and recess. At some point, she will transition to the first hour of the day.

We have posted our volunteer calendar on the bulletin board in the foyer. We would love to have you join us in the classroom!

We will wrap up our Fire Safety unit this week. The Seattle Fire Department will visit the preschool this Thursday.  This will be an exciting day for the children, as they will get to see a fire truck up close (and even sit in it). They are scheduled to arrive at 10am (provided there’s no emergency at the time). Parents are welcome to join us. Bring your cameras!!
