I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family. What a lovely break from our busy lives and a true gift of time together. We all have so much to be thankful for…
P3 and Pre-K families – Thank you again for meeting with me this week. It was a pleasure to have time to talk about your children. They are all so dear to me and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support.
When you arrive at school next week, you will find a Christmas tree with gift tags in the foyer. This year, we are going to be helping out the West Seattle Food Bank in the form of a Board Game and Diaper Drive. The tags will either request a board game or a pack of diapers which will go directly to the food bank. All of these items will be distributed to West Seattle families who will be so appreciative. If you would like to participate, please take a tag off the tree and return all gifts to the preschool by December 15.
Illness – Please be sure that your child is fever-free for at least 24 hours before returning to school after an illness. Thank you!
Food Drive – Thank you for all of your generous donations to St. Vincent de Paul. One of the St. Vincent de Paul members sought me out last week to tell me that the food room was exceptionally low this year and they were wondering how they would meet Thanksgiving needs for all of the families requesting help. Then, they came in the next day and there were many bags filled with the needed items, thanks to you and your children. She asked me to extend a special thank you to you for your generosity and kindness.
P3 and Pre-K CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – Our Christmas program takes place on Wednesday, December 13th at 6:30pm in the School Hall. Please arrive with your child (in their holiday attire) at 6:15pm and escort them into classroom 1A (just down the hall from the main school office). We will start the program promptly at 6:30pm. Altogether, the program will last no more than one hour.
Holy Rosary Christmas Tree Lot – Please be sure to visit the Holy Rosary School Tree Lot to purchase your Christmas tree this year! A portion of the proceeds benefit Hickman House, West Seattle Food Bank and the West Seattle Helpline, as well as the everyday operations of Holy Rosary School. The tree lot is located on the playground of the big school.
