Happy Catholic Schools Week! In celebration of Catholic Schools across the nation, we have special activities planned all week long.
Tuesday – Service Outreach Day – The preschool has chosen “Save the Earth” for our Service Outreach project. Be sure to wear green this day! For our class project, we will be picking up litter around our preschool playground to help keep our planet clean.
Wednesday – Pajama Day – Wear your comfy pajamas to school!
Thursday – Staff Appreciation Day – Hat Day – Your child can wear the hat of his or her choice to class today! Our preschool class will visit the Rectory Staff to thank them for all that they do for our school. We will head over at about 9:00, so if a couple parents would like to stay to help us get the kids (and the treats) over to the Rectory, and maybe even take some photos, we would really appreciate your help. The staff will LOVE it!
Valentine’s Day is coming up quickly!! We will be making special valentine boxes/bags in class to hold all of our valentines. On the morning of February 11th, please send in a card for each student in class. They may be labeled with each child’s name (or not). If labeled, it’s more challenging for the kids to find each person’s box/bag. But, if they’re up for the challenge, then by all means! We have a total of 16 children in our class.

CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES
Literacy – This week’s letter is the letter J.
Our songs, stories, and poems will focus on the letter J and Groundhog Day.
Math – Match My Number – The children make a set of objects to match the number given.
Faith Formation – The Children will learn about the first friends of Jesus. They will also learn that we are friends of Jesus.
ABC Music & Me – We will begin a new unit this week – Animals-a-Dancing.

Thursday, March 17 – 1:00 – Special visit by Comerford School of Irish Dance in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. All preschool families are welcome to attend.
