CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES
Literacy – This week’s letter is the letter: Y
*Every Thursday is letter item day! Your child is invited to bring in a letter Y item from home to share with the class.
Our songs, stories and poems will focus on farm animals.
Math: We will continue to practice number recognition up to 10 while also counting objects in an organized manner.
Science: We will continue to discuss farm animals.
Faith Formation: This week, Sister will discuss the significance of the eucharist with the children.
ABC Music & Me – On the Farm
Snack: We will celebrate our summer birthdays in May and June. Please remember to send some healthy snacks to go along with the birthday treats. Thank you!

UPCOMING EVENTS –
June 7 – Last day of preschool slide show and party. 8:30 a.m. Our early timing is so that parents of kindergarteners can then head up to the graduation which begins at 10. All family members are welcome. Many thanks to Scotti’s mom, Dawn, who is creating our slide show.
June 8 – Preschool Clean-Up Day – (We’ll be here from 9-2, so anytime that you can help during that window would be greatly appreciated)
Women’s Shelter –
During the Jubilee year, we focus on a mercy for each month and in May it’s to shelter the homeless. There is a great opportunity in our parish to focus on this mercy, by volunteering at the Women’s shelter. There are lots of different roles to support the women who stay in our parish shelter each weekend, September through end of June and we are always in need of volunteers to be Overnight hosts, Hospitality or Drive a small bus. Come learn more about what we do to support this ministry of mercy after mass this weekend and next Weds. May 25th from 8-9 AM. This Week – I wanted to let you know that I will be out of town attending a family wedding next weekend, so will be missing class on Thursday. The kids will be in great hands with Sara teaching and Sister assisting.
